WUTC's studios are located on the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga campus in Cadek Hall in the state's fourth largest city, Chattanooga. As the famous site of three major civil war battles, Chattanooga is a growing metro area of over 400,000 people. Located equally between Knoxville, Birmingham, Nashville, and Atlanta, it is a commerce center. Among its outstanding offerings are its Tennessee Aquarium, Lookout Mountain, the famous Chattanooga Choo Choo, Rock City, and the mountain climbing Incline Railroad. Tourists visit the area to enjoy events like the Riverbend Festival, Bessie Smith Strut, Fall Color Cruise, and the Creative Discovery Museum for children.
